Our client oversees the operations, inspections and maintenance of
Ireland&# *;s key roads, tolls, tunnels and
motorway operations centres.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Engineer required for the Project Department to work on
projects associated with the Operation and Maintenance of Motorway
Toll Collections, Traffic Management, Tunnel Safety Management,
Emergency and Contingency Planning, Equipment and Infrastructure
Inspection and Maintenance throughout Ireland.
Responsible for leading a team of multidisciplinary engineers.
Responsibility for full management, execution, performance and
tracking of multiple projects.
Ensuring Projects are brought in on time and on budget.
Working with the System Owners for all project aspects including, user
requirements Specification, scope of works, feasibility studies,
design, drawings, scope of works, AutoCAD drawings, project programme,
tender documents and factory and site acceptance testing etc.
Co-ordination of all construction activities and coordination of
multiple contractors.
Management of full project package tendering process.
Management of all aspects of subcontractors: Performance, engineering
documentation (Method Statements, Temporary Traffic Management Plans,
staff training records, induction records, CSCS cards etc.)
Regular and detailed communications to all stakeholders.
Ensuring full compliance with Change Control process.
Ensuring compliance with all procedures, certified ISO standards and
relevant legislation
Market research for possible engineering solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree qualification in engineering or equivalent
6 years’ experience as a project engineer in any of the following
areas:
Road infrastructure projects & Intelligent Traffic Systems
Building management systems
Facilities management
Marine engineering
Experience in a mixed IT, civil, mechanical, and electrical
engineering environment
Project team management experience demonstrating successful delivery
of large projects
Excellent knowledge in Auto Cad, MS Office and MS Project.
Excellent reporting, financial management and communicational skills
Driven to succeed, ability to work on own initiative
Full clean driver’s license
